Mandibular advancement oral appliance therapy provided effective symptom control in a CPAP-intolerant obstructive sleep apnea patient. Clinical evidence shows meaningful reductions in apnea severity, improved daytime symptoms, and high long-term adherence. Despite less AHI reduction than CPAP, superior nightly usage supports oral appliances as a practical alternative for selected OSA patients.

Single-Night Feasibility Study of Mask-Free Therapy

A single-night feasibility study evaluated mask-free intraoral negative-pressure therapy in obstructive sleep apnea patient's intolerant to CPAP. Results demonstrated significant reductions in apnea–hypopnea index, improved oxygenation, and enhanced sleep continuity. Rapid polysomnography-based assessment enabled early responder identification, supporting oral negative-pressure therapy as a practical, non-invasive alternative for selected patients.
