Oral Pressure Therapy (OPT) in Obstructive Sleep Apnea

MRI-based evaluation of OPT demonstrated significant anatomical airway changes in obstructive sleep apnea responders. OPT enlarged the retropalatal airway through anterior displacement of the soft palate, resulting in marked apnea–hypopnea index reduction. These mechanistic findings support OPT as a targeted, anatomy-driven alternative for selected patient's intolerant of CPAP.

Single-Night Feasibility Study of Mask-Free Therapy

A single-night feasibility study evaluated mask-free intraoral negative-pressure therapy in obstructive sleep apnea patient's intolerant to CPAP. Results demonstrated significant reductions in apnea–hypopnea index, improved oxygenation, and enhanced sleep continuity. Rapid polysomnography-based assessment enabled early responder identification, supporting oral negative-pressure therapy as a practical, non-invasive alternative for selected patients.
