Oral Pressure Therapy: A Promising Emerging Option for OSA Management
OPT is an emerging non-invasive option for obstructive sleep apnea patients unable to tolerate CPAP. Early clinical studies demonstrated substantial reductions in apnea–hypopnea index, with some patients achieving near-normal values. By stabilizing upper airway soft tissues through intraoral negative pressure, OPT shows promise as a practical second-line therapy.
