Oral Pressure Therapy (OPT) in Obstructive Sleep Apnea

MRI-based evaluation of OPT demonstrated significant anatomical airway changes in obstructive sleep apnea responders. OPT enlarged the retropalatal airway through anterior displacement of the soft palate, resulting in marked apnea–hypopnea index reduction. These mechanistic findings support OPT as a targeted, anatomy-driven alternative for selected patient's intolerant of CPAP.
