Single-Night Feasibility Study of Mask-Free Therapy

A single-night feasibility study evaluated mask-free intraoral negative-pressure therapy in obstructive sleep apnea patient's intolerant to CPAP. Results demonstrated significant reductions in apnea–hypopnea index, improved oxygenation, and enhanced sleep continuity. Rapid polysomnography-based assessment enabled early responder identification, supporting oral negative-pressure therapy as a practical, non-invasive alternative for selected patients.

Airflow Phenotyping Predicts Oral Appliance Success in OSA

A clinical study evaluated airflow phenotyping using standard polysomnographic signals to predict oral appliance therapy outcomes in obstructive sleep apnea. Airflow characteristics, including event depth and expiratory pinching, accurately differentiated responders from non-responders with 74% classification accuracy, supporting personalized treatment selection and reducing ineffective therapy trials.
