Traditional balance assessments offered only a limited view of patient conditions. With EquiCOG and Equipoise from the Equidor range by Taevas, our diagnostic precision has transformed. EquiCOG helps detect even minute balance deficits across somatosensory, central, and peripheral systems, while Equipoise enhances posturography accuracy and treatment planning. The entire installation and support experience with the Taevas team was seamless.

FAQs

How does EquifHIT improve vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) testing compared to traditional HIT?
EquifHIT replaces subjective observation with objective, sensor-driven analysis. It uses high-precision head-mounted sensors and timed optotype presentation to assess VOR function across all semicircular canals. Unlike traditional HIT, which relies on clinician skill to detect subtle eye movements, EquifHIT provides quantifiable, color-coded results, making it ideal for early detection, patient education, and therapy planning.
EquiCOG integrates real-time head tracking with 120 fps eye movement recording, including torsional traces, something most VNG systems miss. It supports advanced protocols like gaze-evoked and positional nystagmus tests, and provides slow-motion playback for detailed analysis. This dual tracking capability helps differentiate central vs peripheral vertigo with greater accuracy, improving diagnostic confidence in ENT and neuro clinics.
EquiCCG automates craniocorpography using computer vision, eliminating the need for dark rooms and manual tracking. It captures full-body movement via a ceiling-mounted camera and electronics-free head tracker, delivering instant metrics like sway, displacement, and spin. With normative feedback and protocol support (Romberg, Tandem Walk, etc.), it streamlines workflow and improves diagnostic reproducibility for fall risk and vestibular assessments.
EQUIPOISE combines high-resolution force plate technology with dynamic balance protocols tailored to vestibular, neuro, and geriatric populations. It supports rhythmic weight shift training, proprioceptive pursuit, and cognitive-postural exercises. Real-time analysis and intuitive metrics like sway velocity empower clinicians to personalize rehab plans, monitor progress, and enhance neuroplasticity outcomes in balance-impaired patients.
iNAP uses negative air pressure to reposition the tongue and soft palate, keeping the airway open without the need for airflow or masks. It’s portable, quiet, and battery-powered, ideal for CPAP-intolerant patients and frequent travelers. Clinical studies show significant AHI reduction and improved sleep architecture, making it a viable alternative for mild-to-moderate OSA with better adherence and comfort.
Oscilla audiometers combine ergonomic design, noise-cancelling headsets, and intuitive AudioConsole software for fast, accurate hearing tests. With models tailored for schools, occupational health, and ENT clinics, they support air and bone conduction, speech tests, and integration with patient management systems. Their portability and MDR compliance make them ideal for on-site screenings and remote care.
Unlike CPAP, which can disrupt natural sleep patterns due to airflow pressure and mask-related arousals, iNAP preserves nasal breathing and minimizes sensory interference. Clinical studies show improvements in REM sleep percentage and reductions in N1 sleep and arousals. This leads to better sleep quality, reduced daytime fatigue, and enhanced cognitive function, especially important for patients with comorbid neurocognitive or cardiovascular conditions.
Oscilla audiometers offer fast, portable, and reliable hearing screening tailored for workplace environments. With features like noise-cancelling headsets and automated test protocols, they help identify early signs of hearing damage before it becomes irreversible. The system also allows validation of hearing protection devices, enabling proactive interventions and compliance with occupational safety standards, ultimately improving employee well-being and productivity.
iNAP is most effective in patients with mild to moderate OSA who are intolerant to CPAP due to mask discomfort, airflow noise, or claustrophobia. Ideal candidates typically have tongue-base or soft palate collapse and maintain good nasal patency. It’s especially beneficial for non-obese individuals and frequent travelers seeking a discreet, portable solution. A home trial is recommended to assess responsiveness before long-term use.
